Joe is a decorated disabled combat veteran and works with our heroes to help combat suicides, domestic violence and divorces caused by the invisible wounds that for decades we have all be taught to “brush off” and “forget about it.” One is too many!

Tom is a decorated disabled combat veteran. Tom also actively volunteers in the communities where he lives. Tom’s desire is to ensure Freedom Fields will support our Heroes who sacrifice themselves for the good of our Nation.

Joe has served as a member of the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office since June of 1981. He his currently serving as the Sheriff since taking office on January 2016. He is also a Life Member of Quinton Volunteer Fire Co. # 2, serving since 1972, serving as the Company Chief for five years. Joe is dedicated to the welfare of every First Responder, and their families.

A Retired 24+ year US Army Disabled Vietnam Era Veteran possessing a Master's degree in Business. Attended numerous communication, leadership, management, and marketing courses. Additionally, was employed with the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) for 14 years, as a Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER) and Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP). Established multitude of business networks with Federal, State and Local businesses and service entities. Through this networking, guided veterans to their employment dreams and goals utilizing knowledge in Civil, Federal and State programs sponsoring veteran needs, and programs targeted to veterans young and old. Developed Federal and State resume group sessions for veterans, and civilians. He is married to Lula, also a Disabled Veteran. He is a Gold Star Father, certified as a Federal Job Trainer and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member.
Susan has Volunteered as a Firefighter and EMT for Quinton Volunteer Fire and EMS for over 11 years. She loves to help anyone she can. Susan's family has a rich history of service within the EMS, Law Enforcement, and Military.
